Mrs George Rhodes ("Beverley")* who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs Ben Howell (Cave), is returning to Christchurch to-day. Miss Bridges (Wellington) and Miss Holmes (Lower Hutt) are the guests of Miss Cott'erill (Cashel, street West). Mr 'and Mrs Charles Wood (Leinster road),' who have been spending the winter months in Queensland and have since been visiting their son in Whangafei, are returning to Christchurch tomorrow morning. The Rev. E. C. Crosse, headmaster of. Christ's College, and Mrs Crosse, who returned to New Zealand by the Aorangi on Sunday, are at present visiting Mrß~ Crosse's parents at Pukelipe, Hawke's Bay, and will arrive -in Christchurch on Tuesday morning. An enjoyable dinner party, was held at the Federal Hotel last evening, when ;Mr and Mrs F. McKechnie (Wellington) entertained Mr H. A. Litchfield, navigator of the Southern Cross.
