The General Council of the Trades Union Congress has firmly recommflnded the -establishment of a National Industrial Council of employers and employed, together with the necessary conciliation machinery on the lines of the Mend Conference, in the Congress's annual report, which was issued to-day. The recommendation comes before the Trades Union Council on September 3rd, when it is expected to be endorsed.—Australian Press Association.
