The presentation of a bouquet to Mrs Stanley Baldwin at Glasgow two years ago had a sequel recently when it was reported at a meeting of the Child Welfare Committee of Glasgow Corporation that the Scottish Board of Health had taken exception to an item in the accounts of £1 for the bouquet. The Town Clerk was instructed to write to the Board of Health, explaining that the parks department had supplied the flowers, and that, according to custom, £1 was charged for them.
