SHIPPING NOTES. The • John is to* load to-morrow for Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. The Teeg left the Chathams at 2 p.m. on Sunday, and should arrive at Lyttelton tomorrow morning. She- loads for the Chathaniß again, and sails via Wellington. The Gallic is due at Lyttelton at the end of the week from Port Chalmers to load for New York, Boston, Halifax, and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. From here she goes to New Plymouth, Wang3nui, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The Gallic is to sail from Auckland on September 19th for New York. The Northumberland is due at Wellington to-morrow from Wanganui to complete loading. She is to sail from that port on Thursday for London, via Panama. The Pakeha is expected about the end of this week from Port Chalmers to load for London. Prom this port she goes to Wanganui, Wellington, Napier, Waikokopu, and Auckland. She is to sail from the lastnamed port on October Ist for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. The Calm is an expected arrival to-morrow from Bluff, Dunedin, and .Timaru. She takes in cargo here for Wellington and Wanganui. . The Gale, due on Friday from the north, loads for Dunedin and Timaru, and in to sail the same day. The Cygnet is due to-night from Kaikoura and Wellington. To-morrow she loads for Kaikoura only, and sails for that port in the evening. On returning to Lyttelton the, Cygnet- will lay up for annual overhaul. The Katoa is due to-day from Auckland and Wellington, and is to sail to-morrow for Dunedin and Bluff. The Kahika is to take in cargo here on Thursday for Napier and Gisborne. The Manuka sailed from Wellington on Saturday for Melbourne. She is expected at Lyttelton, via Wellington, on September 12th, and is io sail the, same 'day for Dunedin, Bluff, and Melbourne. The Canopus is due to-morrow from Westport with a full cargo of coal. The Margaret W. completes loading at Lyttelton this morning for Tauranga, Thames, and Whangarei. The Totara is expected on Thursday from Wellington, to. load for Wellington and New Plymouth. The Kaiapoi is an expected arrival on Sunday next from Greymouth,' via Bluff and Dunedin. The Kurow should he here on Sunday' from Dunedin and Timaru. She is I to load on Monday for Auckland, and sails via Wellington.

The Kennedy is timed to load hero on Thursday for ioxton. The Parera is due on Saturday from Tarakohe with cement. She loads here for Nelson, AVestport, and Greymouth, to the agency of P. E. Sutton and Co. The Kurow, which is being placed in commission at Auckland after completion of overhaul, is in command of Captain R. Clark. His deck officers are the following:—Chief, Mr H. S. Collier; second, Mr W. J. Hill; third, Mr R. B. Steere. Mr D. Burgess has been appointed second officer of the Kaiapoi, relieving Mr J. M. Hood, who is awaiting orders at Wellington. Messrs R. Duffner, third officer of the Waihemo, and R. Blampied, third officer of the Loongana, are exchanging ships at Melbourne. Mr P. D. Johnson is rejoining the Corinna as chief officer, relieving Mr S. 0. Angus, who will transfer to the Kaimai as chief officer. .

Mr N. J. Sitpen, chief officer of the Maheno, has been granted • leave on account of private affairs, and the other officers of the Maheno have been promoted temporarily. Mr D. H. Richards, third officer of the Kama, has been granted his holiday at Sydney, and his place is being taken by Mr C. G. Hill. Messrs J. D. Lundie and I. L. Russell, chief and third officers of the Kairanga re< spectively, are transferring to the Kaponga in similar capacities to-day. Mr 0. H. George, chief officer of the/Balls Head, has fractured a leg, and Js now in hospital at Greymouth. Mr W. E. Jones, chief officer of the Kaimai, has been transferred fo the Balls Head temporarily, and the Kaimai is proceding with two officera to Wellington. A further message received by the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company from their liner Corinthic, states- that the vessel will not now arrive at "Wellington until this morning from London arid Southampton. The 0. and D. Line steamer Port Bowen left Napier on Friday evening for Gisbbrne, Wanganui roadstead, and Wellington, to complete loading for London, Avonmouth,. Glasgow, and Liverpool. The vessel is due at Wellington next Saturday, and will sail finally from that port on September 3rd. Advice has been received that the Norwegian motor-ship Westvard was scheduled to leave Port Arthur, Texas, last Thursday, with a full cargo of case oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and Australian ports. She is expected to arrive at Auckland about the end of September. The New Zealand Shipping Company report that the Ruapehu was to leave New Plymouth on Saturday night to load at Oamaru, Tlmaru, and Wellington. The vessel is due 8t Wellington on September 6th, and will sail finally from there on September Bth for Southampton and London, via Panama. The New Zealand Shipping Company report that their liner Remuera left Auckland on Saturday to load at Bluff, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on" September 7th, and will proceed from there to Auckland. She will sail finally from Auckland on September 15th for Southampton and London, via Panama. . The Canadian National Steamships advise that the Canadian Conqueror (in place of the Canadian Challenger) was to leave Montreal on Saturday with general cargo to discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff, omitting Auckland. The Canadian Winner is to sail from Montreal on August 30th with general cargo to discharge at Auckland and Wellington only. She will be followed by the Canadian Explorer, which is to leave Montreal on September 2nd for "Auckland only.
