One of the few dogcarts remaining in Christehurch came to grief at the intersection of Hereford and Colombo streets last night. The axle broke, one of the wheels came ofE and rolled into the channelling, where it remained the rest of the night alongside the cart. "Most ladies possess clothes,'' said Dr. Van Der Leeuw. during the course of his lecture last night, "but might I also Bay that they are possessed by them, for they are slaves to every caprice of fashion."
