STOLE MOTOR TYRE. A boy of about 15 years of age admitted the theft of a motor tyre, a sun-shield, and tyre patches valued at 7s. He ™ placed under the .supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for twelve months. USED FIREARMS. Two boys, one of 13 years of age, and the other over the age of 16, appeared on charges of having firearms unlawfully in their possession, the second boy being charged also with supplying a firearm to a person under 16 yearß of age. Senior-Sergeant O'Hara said that the boys had been using firearms in the lupins at North Brighton. The elder boy had stated that he found a Winchester rifle in the* sandhills and had cnt. the barrel and stock down to make the firearm Into a pistol. A .803 rifle had also been found there, but the lads had no ammunition for ■ it. This gun was one of those damaged in the fire at the rifle range at New Brighton.
