♦ Gun Club. The Lyttelton' Gun Club held a Bparrow match on its grounds,- Officers' Point, on Saturday. Owing to the poor attendance of shooters, the • club had to cancel the £2O sparrow match, and substitute a £5 match of nine bird,s, and two six-bird sweeps. Shooting was hard, as there was a very tricky wind. Afternoon tea was supplied by Mrs H. Blaekler and Mrs W. Whitford. Mr A. Miller was referee. Scores:— E. Hammond (21yds) .. 112112200—7 H. Whitford, with eight birds each, divided the stake. In a further six-bird match, E. Radclitfe, H. M. Wright, and W. Whitford divided the stake. Tho shoot was brought to n close with a six-bird match. W. Whitford, with all on, took first raonoy, H. M. Wright, J. Matson, and W. Reid divided second and third money. Harbour Light Theatre. Many people who did not seo "The King of Kings" when it was screened at tho Harbour Light Theatre a few weeks ago having expressed the wish to do so, and many others who saw this mighty production, haying signified their intention of seeing it again, should the opportunity offer, the management have been successful in arranging a rescreening for this afternoon and evening only. Ordinary prices will be charged, ana reserves may be made at King and Cousins. To-morrow, "Ladles' Night in a Turkish Bath," a screamingly funny comedy starring Dorothy Mackail and Jack Mulhall, will bo screened. The supporting programme _meludes "Born to Battle," featuring Tom Tyler, a gazette, and comedy-serial. Golf. A ladies' medal match, played at Diamond Harbour on Saturday, resulted in "a tie between Miss E. White-Parsons and Miss P. Plimmer. A men's eclectic match set down for yesterday was postponed. Yesterday was visitors' day at the Lyttelton Club's links, at Charteris Bay. There was a large, attendance. The ladies' stroka match was won by Miss C. Williams, Miss Pi Plimmer being runner-up. A men's stroke match was won by E. West,.G. Morris being runner-up.
