A TARANAKI BOOKMAKER. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEQBAM.) STRATIX)RD, June 1. At' the Magistrate's Court to-day Ernest Alexander Johnson pleaded guilty to a charge of bookmaking, and was fined £75. The police described him as one of the two largest bookmakers in Taranaki. .Three men found in a back-room when Johnson's tobacconist shop was raided were fined £2 10s each.
