MAGISTERIAL. TUESDAY. (Before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M.) MAINTENANCE ARREARS. William Henry Hudson admitted being £46 5s in arrears with maintenance, all but £lO of which was remitted by the consent of the applicant. He was convicted for being £lO in arrears, an<' sentenced to one month's imprisonment, to be released on payment of £lO. The warrant is to be suspended for fourteen days. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. Sydney Hall, aged 35, hailing from England, was found without lawful excuse, but in circumstances which did not disclose his intention, on the premises of the Britannia Private Hotel. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within three months. (Before Mr E. D. Mosley, ■ S.M.) C/VIL JURISDICTION. Clarke, engine-driver, Christchurch (Mr Smith), claimed from G. Smith the sum of £4 15s, allegedly for rent due to plaintiff by defendant of a dwellinghouse at Smith street, Heathcote Valley. Judgment was given for plaintiff for the full amount less the sum of £2 paid into Court.
