"BATTLING BUTLER."
AT STRAND THEATRE. Busier Keaton and Sally O'Neil in ""Battling Butler" headed the hill at the Strand Theatra on Saturday. . Tho story of "Battling Butler" is a succession of convulsing ludicrous incidents that leave orw helpless with laughter. It concerns the adventures of a rich weakling who poses as a famous pugilist in order to win the girl, of his heart. When the real champion puts in an unexpected appearance it marks the beginning of a month of physical and mental torture for the unhappy imposter who ia compelled to train in anticipation of a fight with "The Alabama Murderer," a notoriously vicious bruiser. It is all a deep laid hoax by the real champion, but the othor does not discover this until the night of the fight. Then in an agony of mortification he turns on the boxer and soundly thrashes him, afterwards pro raiting his bride that he' will never fight again. Johnny Harron and Sally Phipps in "Love Makes 'em Wild," a comedy, a cartoon, a New Zealand scenic, and topicals were also shown.
