A well-known Chinese bananagrower, George Dan, of Middle Creek, near Pomona, was found fatally stabbed with a cook's knife in a hotel at Pomona, where he was staying. Later an Italian cook, Giuseppe Seiglitano, was arrested and charged with murder.—Australian Press Association.
