PAPUAN EXPEDITION.
SUCCESSFUL EXPLORATION. (BT CABLE—PBISS ASSOCIATION—COPIBIGHT.) (AT7BTBALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY, March 12. Mr C. Karius, the Assistant-Resident Magistrate at Papua, is visiting Sydney, after an extended exploration tour he and another write official made through portions of unexplored Papua, spending several months fighting through the. most difficult country. They encountered many dangers, and were enfeebled by fever and shortage of food. The expedition definitely established the fact that the Sepik, Fly, Poliver, and Strickland rivers all have their sources in the mandated territory, within a few miles of each other.
