ALLEGED ASSAULT.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) GISBOBNE, March 12. •This morning Abdul Nabee Sultan Kin, 22, a native of Bangoon, appeared in the Magistrate's Court, on a charge of assaulting Taherulla Amie Maliamed, in the Argyllshire, and was remanded until to-morrow. Counsel who appeared for accused agreed that a remand would be the best course, as it was considered to be dangerous for accused to be placed in the ship. There was a good deal of feeling between different sections in the vessel, and although accused might have done no wrong, others might set on him. It seemed hard, however, that he should be in custody when he had committed practically no offence.
