' SHIPPING NOTES The Storm is due tomorrow morning from Timaru to load lor Wellington, Pieton, and Wanganui. The Waikawa should arrive tomorrow from Nelson with cargo from Los Angeles for discharge. She loads here for Vancouver and San Francisco, and sails via Dunedin. The Karetu is now due to-morrow from South Australian ports and Melbourne, via North Island ports. She is to sail on Thursday for Sydney, via Dunedin and Bluffy The Cygnet is expected to-night from Kuikoura and Wellington, and is to s»il tomorrow night on the return trip. The Holmdale is to load here to-morrow for Wellington and Wanganui. The Progress is expected to-morrow from Dunedin and Timaru, and is to sail in the afternoon with cargo for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Wingatui should arrive on Thursday from Dunedin, and Timaru to load for Auckland. , • .The Gale sailed yesterday afternoon for Dunedin and Timaru. She is due hack on Thursday, when she is to take in cargo for Wellington and Wanganui. The Andrew Weir Line steamer loseric arrived at Auckland yesterday from Bunlrary, via Sydney, with a cargo of jarrah timber for discharge at that port' and at Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Canopus is due at Lyttelton about Thursday from Westport with coal. The Kanna is due to-morrow from Westport, via Bluff and Dunedin, with a part eafgo of coal for discharge.. The Tees was due at Timaru yesterday from the Chathams. She_ is to return to , the Islands to load for Lyttelton. The Wirrall is to sail from New Yurk on the 21st inst. for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.

She has cargo for discharge at that port and at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dun«din, Bluff, and Sydney, The C. and D. liner Port Auckland is to sail from London to-morrow with cargo for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and New Plymouth. She is due at Wellington on April 27th. Captain E. Harris has assumed command of the motor-vessel Otokia, relieving Captain A. R. Stewart for instructions. Mr H. W. Jones has reported from holidays, arid has relieved Mr J. J. Lyon, second officer of the Katoa, for his holidays. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from the Ikala, en route from St. John, stating that the vessel will arrive at Auckland to-day. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Cornwall arrived in the Wanganui roadstead at 6 a.m. on Friday from New Tlymouth, for further loading. She was to leave the roadstead last night for Lyttelton. A wireless message has been received by the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company from their liner Corinthic, stating that the vessel will arrive at Wellington at 6 a.m. to-day from London and Southampton, via Panama. The Federal Company has received news from Napier that owing to bad weather at that port the Westmoreland would not be able to leave there until yesterday for Wellington, to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. The vessel is now expected at Wellington this morning. The Canadian Highlander, which is at present unloading Canadian cargo at Auckland, is under the command of Captain P. C. A. Robertson, who has with him the following officers: —Chief, Mr W. Johnstone; second, Mr A. J. Melanson; third, Mr R. J. -Randcll; wireless operator, Mr O. K. Myers; chief engineer, Mr W. Middleton; second, Mr J. Mahen; third, Mr D. James; fourth, Mr P. Holden; chief steward, Mr S. Knight.

Waikawa—From Napier, clears New Plymouth 10th for Nelson, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Westport, and Auckland, to complete discharge of her inward cargo; thence Honolulu and Vancouver. Waltemata—From Pacific Coast, via Apia, is due at Auckland 12th inst.; clears the latter port about 14th inst. for Wellington, thence Melbourne and Sydney. Wairuna—From Newcastle, via Suva, is due at Vancouver March 17th. Proceeds thence to San Francisco to complete loading for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. Hauraki—Clears Sydney 9th <or Melbourne, thence Adelaide to complete discharge of her inward cargo. Waiotapu—From Newcastle, arrived at Suva 5 a.m. Bth, and will sail again about 15th inst. for Fanning Island; thence Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Waihemo —Is expected to clear San Francisco 10th for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne, and Sydney. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follows:—Waiotapu—Loads at Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles early in April for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. Waikawa —Loads at Vancouver, San Francisco, and ■ Los Angeles early in May for Nopier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth, also Bluff and Nelson if sufficient inducement.
