A moderate anti-cyclone is over the TasSnan Sea, and pressure is rather low to the north and north-east of New Zealand. Present indications are for light to fresh ■winds, south to south-east prevailing from Cook Strait northwards and south to west thence southwards, rather rough at first in parts of Cook Strait and the far south, elsewhere smooth to moderate seas in New Zealand wafers, south-west to south-east winds And moderate seas in the east half of the Tasman Sea, weather cloudy in the eastern districts north from Kaikoura, with scattered showers, but improving and, elsewhere chiefly fine; later becoming unsettled in the far south, with some showers.
