AN EASY WIN.

WARATAHS IN VANCOUVER. (BI CABLK—PBE6B ASSOCIATION—COPTBIOBT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION ) VANCOUVER, March 3. The Waratahs easily defeated the Vancouver representatives in their last game before sailing in the Aorangi. Showing immense superiority, they went over in the first two minutes, Ross converting. Then they wcro over again ten minutes later. Vancouver were almost helpless in scrum and open play. At half-time the scoro was 14 to nil. The local side improved, but were not good enough, the game ending with the scores 17 to • nil. Tho visitors could readily have doubled the score. The fundamental difference between the Waratahs and the All Blacks is that the latter went over when and how they could, whereas the Waratahs made the game safe, then passed very deliberately, and watched and blocked while the opposition did its best. The playing of Duncan and King behind the scrum, and flashing back line's passing movements evoked great applause. Ross made the score 6to nil from a penalty kick, and a few minutes later ran over, Ross converting the try. King did a sensational run through the broken field, dodging and swerving like a "swallow in flight. Gordon went over, but was called back for an infringement of tho rules. Blair, however, scored immediately afterwards, but the shot at goal missed. Farmer made a splendid shot at goal well out in the field just before halftime. The Vancouver side had a big chanc.' in the second half when the Waratahs eased up, but they could not get going beyond midfield owing to the defensive methods of the visitors, and the brl'' liant full-back play of Ross. Mann scored the Waratahs' only try in the second half, bat Ross again missed by inches from a difficult angle. The Waratahs' inside passing move ments were wonderful.
