HABITUAL DRUNKARD.
(rRESS ASSOCIATION? TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON. March 3. When William Kelly appeared before Mr W. G. Riddel!, S.M., to-day for his sixth offence of drunkenness within sis months, it was stated that Mr Page, S.M., had promised to send him to the Island if he came up again within that time. Mr Riddell: You are an habitual drunkard within the meaning of tlie Act. Kelly asked for another chance, and suggested the imposition of a tine with seven days to pay. ''You are pretty cool, making yoar own terms," said the Magistrate "What arc you, married or single?" Kelly: Single. Mr Riddell: Very ivell, tweive •"onths on the Island will do you good.
