Later the police found a blood-stained motor-car which haci been stolen from an Essex doctor on the night of the murder, presumably by the murderers.] LIVERPOOL ARREST. LONDON, January 26. 'The man arrested at Liverpool on a charge of stealing a motor-car is Willima Kennedy, aged forty. The Liverpool Police Chief says that Kennedy and a woman left a house at midnight and walked for a few yards. When spoken to by a detective,, who immediately took hold of the man, a struggle ensued. The man pointed a revolver at the detective. Following the struggle, the revolver was wrenched from his grasp. Twenty armed police in motor-cars surrounded tho house.

Kennedy has not been charged, but will be tried in London. The woman was released.
