BAND OF HOPE UNION.
At the first monthly meeting of the Canterbury- Band of Hope Union for the present year. Mr E. A. M. Leaver presided. A motion of sympathy was passed to Hiss J. Billons m her recent bereavement. A hearty welconW was extended to the Sheffield representatives to the Union, also to Mr McKenzie (New Zealand Alliance). A motion was earned that the new syllabus and order of ser " ce **,„", to, each Society. A special sub-committee to deal with schedule of events, etc., in connexion with the annual competitions, »" ,7 up as follows:—Mcsdames Hughes and bio son, Messrs A. J. Dwight, A. ilartm, ana Alex. Beanie.
