The attitude of the Cuban public toward the Nicaraguan situation was signally demonstrated when fhe flags of the twentv-one nations participating at the pan-American Conference were ceremoniously hoisted above the meeting place as a prelude to the firso session. A popular demonstration greeted the Nicaraguan flag, which was the only one cheered
