MAUI POMARE DELEGATION -MANUFACTURERS' DISCUSSION. The Wellington Manufacturers' Association had appointed two, the Wellington Chamber of Commerce would appoint two this week, and there would he one or two representatives of the Wellington Fruit Merchants. Dunedin had not definitely decided yet. In view of tho enthusiasm with which Auckland had taken up the matter, Cliristcliurch should not bo behind because the steamer was being j>ut on for the specific purpose of assisting the South Island and provide it with Island fruits. Mr Marriner said that he had interviewed those engaged in the eight or ten industries interested in trade with Samoa and had received promises of financial support. Mr Coiquhoun, replying to the chairman (Mr A. W. Beaven) said that each association appointed its own delegates; the return fare was £3O. It was decided that the Association's Finance Committee should take up the matter and it was given authority to add to its members any manufacturer specially interested in trade with Samoa.
