ST. ALBANS METHODIST CIRCUIT.

The quarterly meeting of the St. Albans Methodist Church circuit was attended by 30 officials,' the chair being occupied by the Kcv. L. B. Neale. A motion of condolence with Mrs Nicholls in tho death of Hiss Hilda Nicholls was adopted. Hearty good wishes were extended to Mr and Mrs 0. F. Edgar, who will shortly leave on a trip to England. Appreciative reference was made of the valuable work done by Mr C. Boyer, who is about to enter into business at Wellington. The financial statement was highly satisfactory, tho income amounting to £413 9s 7d. A surplus of £SO was allocated to the Rugby street Trust. The number of senior members was reported as 361, and juniors 83. Tl\f chairman reported on the work at Bryndwr, and a Church Extensions Committee indicated future possibilities at- East St. Albanß. Consequent on her having accepted an appointment at Wellington, Sister Winifred, who has been associated with the Rugby street congregation, tendered her resignation, which was accepted with much regret. An intimation -was mado that the plans for the new Sunday School at Edgeware road would shortly bo available, and it was expected that tho work would bo proceeded with at an early date. Mr W. Simpson and Mr A. D. Hassall were appointed delegates to the conference which meets ir, Christchurch next month. The substitutes appointed wore Mr J. H. Andrew and Mr T. Jones. By a unanimous vote, Mr A. Williams and Mr R. Bedwell were re-elected circuit stewards. The question of arranging for the services of a deaconess was remitted to the leaders' meeting. Mr A. F. Barrell was elected foreign missions secretary, and Mr A. I). Hassall home mission treasurer, reporter, and advertising secretary. The home mission income of £144 exceeded that of any previous year.
