JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANT.
DAMAGES CLAIM,
(press association telegxah.) AUCKLAND, November 5. The case in which Kate Carrington claimed £2OOO damages in respect to the death of her husband, Henry Carrington, from James L. Wilson, carrier, of Henderson, was concluded i.o the Supreme Court. His Honour Mr Justice Heed gave judgment for defendant. Carrington died as the result of being struck by a motor-truck driven by Wilson, on Julv 14th. The jury found, by 11 to one, that Carrington was guilty of contributory negligence.
