Jack Robertson, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Robertson, of Palmerston street, who suffered serious head injuries as a result "of a.fall from a bicycle recently, is making good progress at the' Grey Hospital, being now out of danger. Mr and Mrs A. Furness, of Palmerston North, who have been visiting relatives on the West Coast, left this evening for Christchureh. Mr and Mrs F. Bennett (Christchureh) are visiting. Greymouth. Motoring Accident... An accident which might easily, have been attended with serious consequences occurred yesterday to Mr Kim.Wiriiams, of Franklin street, Greymouth,'at Mitchell's (Lake Bruriner).V Mr Williams had motored out to Mitchell's with several friends who were making, the round trip to Lake Brunner,:in connexion with the Greymouth Trotting Club's excursion, and was a grassy slope near the Hotel when he was knocked down by another-car containing seven passengers driven by- Mr S. Groom, of Greymouth., Mr Williams was looking in the opposite direction, and failed to notice the approaching car, whicli knocked him face downwards to the ground, the. front wheels passing over both his legs. Noel' Smith, aged-'I3J years, a son of Mr and Mrs John Smith, of Blaketown, was admitted to the Grey Hospital yesterday, suffering from a bifllet, wound in the head, due to the discharge of a pea rifle. The injured boy .was walking with his two brothers across a patch of lupins near Blaketown, when a pea rifle carried by his brother James suddenly went off,-the bullet striking-him. He was taken to the hospital.and operated upon. His condition is reported to be critical..
