COLOMBO STREET CROSSING.
CONFERENCE*ON AUGUST 5.
The Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) has called a conference of local bodies for August sth, at 4 p.m., to consider the best means of dealing with the Colombo street railway crossing, in the interests of traffic and public safety. It is expected that each of the following bodies will send two delegates:— . Railway Department, City Council, Tramway Board. Canterbury Automobile Association, Carriers' Association, Taxi Proprietors' Association, Christchurch Fire Board, and Pioneer Sports Club.
