DECIMALS AND RATES.

TO THE EDITOR 07 THE PRESS. Sir, —Our City Council seems to have a fondness for decimals. I notice in this morning's Press that a proposed rate is carried out to four decimal places. Last rate-paper had one or two fourth-place decimals included, and it happened to be nearly 35 per cent, more than the rate-paper previous. Is it worth while owning property?—. Yours, etc., • SHIRLEY.
