THE MILK SUPPLY.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. ' Sir, —In your report of the dairymen's meeting of- Monday last I am reported to have said, that "the testing by the Sealed Bottle Vendors' Association was just a flash in the pan," whereas what I actually said was that "the testing by the Bottle Vendors' Association was not a flash in the pan." As a matter of fact, the Sealed Bottle Vendors' Association had been negotiating with Mr Aldridge for the past three months with a view towards securing his services for its laboratory work, and in order to assist the dairymen as a whole—irrespective as to whether they were can and dippei _ or bottle vendors—to place the services of Mr Aldridge at the disposal of all who wish -to maintain a high standard of excellence. I might add that I was well pleased with the attitude adopted by practically the whole of the dairymen present, who gave every evidence that they were anxious not only to work in harmony, but also to do their utmost to meet the demands of the City Council's Milk Sunply Committee. which augurs weir for everyone concerned.—Yours, etc., H. BLISS. Christchurch, July 19th.
