SHIPPING NOTES.' The. intercolonial steamer;- Moeraki ar-, rived at Lyttelton yesterday afternoon from Molbonrne and Wellington. She could not complete-loading last night, and is now to sail-to-day on the arrival, of - the 12.10 p.m. train from Christohurch, ..for .Dunedin and Bluff, : en route for : Melbourne! The Kahiks, due this morning from Timaru, loads for Napier and Gisborrie, and sails via Wellington. '•',"• The Opihi • is-.expected to sail: this afternoon for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Westport. , The Canopus should arrive this morning from Westport with a full cargo of coal. The Totera will sail to-day for Nelson, and is due back from that port on Saturday, when.she will load for Wellington and New Plymouth. The Gale i 3 due to-day from Wellington, and is to sail later for Ounedin and Timaru. The Breeze, due to-morrow from the south, loads for Wellington and Wsnganui; The. John should be here on Saturday, when she will tako in cargo for Wellington, Wa'nganui, arid New Plymouth. The Holmdale is timed to 1 load at Lyttelton on Saturday for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kamo should arrive on Saturday from the Bouth, and is .to sail on Monday for Wellington, Napier, l and Gisbome. The Katoa is due at Lyttelton about .the 15th inst. from Auckland, Portland, and Wellington. She should sail the following day for Dunedin.

The Waipiata is expected on Saturday from, Dunedin. She loads for Auckland, and sails! via Wellington. .1 Advice has been received that the Rimutaka. which left Wellington on March 12th for London, via Panama, arrived at Panama on Sunday. . A radio message has been reieived from the Port D'enison stating that ahe is due at Auckland on Saturday. She. has Liverpool cargo for discharge. • _ . The Queer.-Eleanor." en route from St. John to Auckland, sailed from Newport-News on March 31st. She is due at Auckland on May 10th' and Wellington about a week later. The Port Caroline sailed from. She sailed from Southampton on February 25th, and heavy weather was experienced until-' the Azores were reached. The vessel arrived at Colon on' March . 13th, and during the remaining part of the voyage the weather was fine but cold. One child died during the trip and waß buried at sea, otherwise the voyage was without incident. Captain H. C..
