Proposing to transfer its home fronv Princes street, where it has been domiciled for the past 65 years, Lodge Axe : of Freemasons, Auckland, has bought' a site 94ft by 38ft at the top of Alexandra street, where a new two-storey building was begun last week. The ; site is well elevated and central, and tho new Masonic quarters are expected to mark the beginning of an improvement in the locality in order to bring it into line with tho general advance of the city.
