- N.Z. TEAM. FOR AUSTRALIAN TOUR. [THE PBESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, April i. The selection of a team of five golfers, four of whom will represent the Dominion in the New South Wales amateur championships aud iu the match for the Kirk Windeyer cap, was made at a meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council. The five chosen will make the trip to Australia, and the team of four will be selected after a week's practice in Sydney immediately prior to the first match in which the Nee/ Zealanders take part on June 4th. The tire selected are: A. D. S. Duncan, phib ;t (Wellington); E. M. Macforlane, plus I! (Christcluirch) ; Pr. K. Ross, plus 3 (Otogo). T. H. Hortim, plus 2 (Masterton). Leo Quin, plus 2 (Elthnm). There were eleven nominations, tho unsuccessful ones being T. L. Black, plus 2 (Hutt), J. Goss, jun., plus 2 (Waniranui). B. V. Wright, plus 2 (Timaru), N. C, Rail, plus 1 (Hamilton), 11. 11. George, scr (Maungakiekie), Rana Wagg, scr (Hutt). The five will sail from Wellington for Sydney on May 27th. The chairman of the NewZealand Council, Mr K. G. Kirk, has signified his intention of making the trip. The team selected will compete in the New South Wales champion foursome on June 4th, and a couple of days later take part in the match for tho Royal Sydney Cup. On June Bth and 9th the match for the Kirk Windeyer Cup will ho held, and on June 11th the qualifying round of the Now South Wales amateur championships will be played. Those who qualify will continue to play for the following week. The several matches will be played on the Koyal Sydney Club's links. CHRISTCHURCH LADIES* CLUB.
