At the conclusion of tho grade matches at Lancaster Park on Saturday, the members of tho Linwood Club met to make a presentation to Mr W. L. King, who is about to make a trip to England. Mr A. Cant, a vicopresident of the club, made the presentation, and said that Mr King was a cricket legislator whoso services had been invaluable to the club and to crickot generally. He had held nearly ovory position the club offered, and the members were making this presentation as a small the very high esteem in which ho was held. Mr King suitably responded. The present consisted of a set of hair brushes and a fountain pen. AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TSLEOBAU.) AUCKLAND, April 3. Tho deciding match for the senior cricket championship was played yesterday, Edei, winning by 105 runs. In reply to Eden's score of 299, North Shore made only 194, giving Eden a threepoint win. Parnell (306 for five wickets, declared) secured a three-point win over Grafton (166 and 75 for six wickets). Anthony (Parnell) took five wickets for 53, and four for 28. University secured a three-point win over North Shore B. Shore made 213 and 36 for five wickets. Uni/ersity made 299 for seven wickets declared (Garrard 96, Ralfe 76). Y.M C.A. (96 and 1021 beat Ponsonby (66 and 126 for four wickets), aeouring a three-point win on the first innings.
