OLD MAN INJURED.
KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAM. At 2.30 yesterday afternoon, an old man, Charles Freeman, residing at Hornby, was struck by a tram car while crossing the road in Colombo street. He was carried underneath the tram, and dragged about two or three yards before 4he tram pulled up. He was taken to the 'hospital, where it was announced that his worst injury was a severe cut on the head.
