COOKE'S TUDOR TEA ROOMS
OPENING TODAY. From to-day the premises in High street, known as The Rendezvous, will take on a new name in keeping with the extensive alterations that have been made and the great improvements that have been effected during the past week or so. Under the title of Cooke's Tudor Tea Rooms the premises referred to will be known in the future. The firm of W. R. Cooke and Son, Ltd., recently acquired The Rendezvous, and with the idea of making the rooms the most attractive of their kind in the City, have had them completely remodelled, renovated, rearranged, and generally improved. Cooke's Tudor Tea Rooms have been furnished and fitted in accordance with the styles prevalent in the days of "Good Queen Bess," and the effect of the dark panelling and of the quaint furniture and furnishings is most restful and pleasing The counter which previously ran the whole length of the front portion of the premises has been removed, leaving additional space for the tables. Cooke's Tudor Tea Rooms will specialise in morning and afternoon teaß and luncheons, which will be served iu the daintiest manner. Cooke's ice creams and sundaes are widely popular, and these will be obtainable at all hours t-ha; Cooke'b Tudor Tea Rooms are open. In all respects the Tudor Tea Rooms will be conducted on the latest and most approved lines. —2
