SWIMMING CARNIVAL.
SOUTH CANTERBURY CENTRE. __ i A most successful swimming carnival was hold .last evening at the Century Baths by the South Canterbury Swimming Centre. Rain early in tho evening affected tbe attendance, somewhat, but the fact that Misses K. Stocklcy and Miller, and •Mr D. P. Lindsay were among those who appeared, ensured a good gate in spite of 'the unpleasant conditions. The results of the various events wore as follows: 50yds Inter-club Handicap—First heat: J.
