GRAND STAND ABLAZE.

During the second race at Caulfield yesterday, fire broke out in the guinea stand. The occunante refused to leave the stand until the race was finished, and then came down with a rush, ana watched the structure burn to the ground. The damage is estimated at £50,000 sterling. The racing was not interfered with. There was no water available for the fire brigade, which was unable to help.
