DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC.
As the result of an accident" on Friday, on her father's farm at Selwyn, a litt'e girl, G years of age, Agnes Joyce Swnnson, was brought to the Christchurch Hospital, and died there under an anresthetic. The girl was playing in a field where her brother was cutting peas, and ran in front of the mower, her right foot being badly cut. An inquest was opened at the Hospital on Saturday morning before Ihe Coroner, Mr E„. D. Mosley, and was adjourned for the purpose of a postmortem examination nfter evidence of identification had been given.
