MATRIMONIAL DIFFERENCES. (THE PRESS SpocUl Scrvico.] AUCKLAND. "February I-'. A sensational affair occurred in a house in Albury road, Epsom, in the early hours of this morning, when a man named George Maurice Langley Ryan was found shot dead on the verandah of tho residence of his fatlier-in-lav (Mr Augustus Allwood), At the inquest, which was opened today bv Mr W. R. McKcan, S.M., it was seated there had been matrimonial differences between Ryan and his wife, and that n maintenance order was made against him in the Magistrate's Court vestcrdny. When Ryan went home last night ho had apparently been drinking. At about half past two li»< went to the house of his father-in-law (where Mrs Rvan was living), and demanded to see Ins wife. Mr Allwood •stated that Ryan had an automatic pistol in his hand. Ryan went away, and a moment later the report of a idiot was heard. Deceased was found lyincr prone on the verandah with a wound through the heart. Medical aid was summoned, hut dcnlh took place in a fetr minutes. The inquest was adjourned.
