STOLEN GOODS.
RECEIVER SENT TO GAOL. (THE PBBBB Special Service.] DUNEDIN, February H; Albert Harris, who was found guilty of receiving a quantity of skins, a rug, and a manicure set, which had been s*o!en from the premises of Messrs Turner Bros., was this morning sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labour. His Honour said that, despite the jury taking a lenient view of the caso and not finding tho prisoner guiltv o» the first charge, it was perfectly obvious to anyone that he had been guilty of taking a leading part in the thefts. The evidence showed that he took the leadership in making the arrangements in conjunction with two other men, and taking the things to the house. His Honour added that he did not see any mitigating circumstances in the case at all.
