"THE STROKE OF THREE."

THRILLING DRAMA. QUEEN'S THEATRE, MONDAY. Stories of mortgages are always full of exciting and sensational events, a goodly number of villains, and the inevitable grim hero who foils them all. Such a story is "On the Stroke of Three," which is to be shown at the Queen's Theatre next week, and is one of unusual strength and entertainment value, with human interest and bright comedy to give an added zest to things. It is a succession of stirring situations, which gather upeed and force as the drama unwinds, and the ever-interesting incident of contrast is an important attribute in the story. The tale retains all the virile quality and dramatic interest which characterised it in ita literary form, and proves anew the value of good material in making a good picture. Built on a story of more than ordinary appeal, brilliantly directed and aoted by a east of splendid talent, it is one of the best pictures which has been exhibited in recent monthe. In the leading tolee are Madge Bellamy, Kenneth Harlan, and Mary Ctrr, all playing their parts with tdmirable skill. "Hearts of the West," starring William Fairbanks, is the second picture, a film which is just as thrilling as its name suggests, full of action, intrigue, and sua pense, with ths necessary human interest to lend it the touch of intelligent reality. Fairbanks does some cool and daring acting in this picture, which will go to make bim ; as popular an our-door artist as some of his more famous colleagues.
