A supplementary estimate Btimbitted to tho House of Commons tor i;'2,lo8,000, includes a Treasury grant of £7OOO towards the Duke of York's mission. This is apart from the amount the Admiralty is expending. There is an additional £150,000 for assisted migrants' passages in 1926. The amount apportioned is £90,000 to Australia, £40,000 to Canada, and £20,000 to New Zealand. It is explained that the £olß,ooo originally voted proved inadequate owing to the marked growth in the number of cligibles applying for passages.
