"The Volga lioatmnn." without doubt one of the epics of the M-rcen, is showing al the tirand Theatre this week, in this picture the tragic resignation and litter hopelessness of the Utissiaii peasant are thrown into vivid relief, while the gilded lives of the aristocracy contrast strongly with the existence of the downtrodden serf. It N a powerful production. and ureal care has been exercised throughout it< making.
