SANDERS CUP CONTEST
PARKING ARRANGEMENTS. As there is likely to bo a considerable number of motorists making the trip to Lyttelton during the next few days to witness the Sanders Cup contest, the following particulars regarding parking places in the vicinity of Lyttelton, supplied by Mr G. S. Morris, a member of tho council of the C.A.A., will bo found useful:— Cars may proceed to the old road from Sumner to Lyttelton (just lielow the present road) towards Battery Point, wliero accommodation is available for a good uuml>er of vehicles. Between the gasworks and Gladstone Pier (larking space will be found for about cars. A third purking area is tho old quarry on the Sumiier-Lvttolton road, where about 13 cars may Ik? left. LOOK TO THE BATTERY. Every few months it is well to trace tho heavy cablo from the battery to the starter motor, making sure that it is not rubbing against the floor boards or any metal parts. This precaution will save much trouble and expense.
