LYTTELTON NEWS.

District High School Picnic. The pupils of the Lyttelton District High School held their annual picnic at Southbridge yesterday. Favoured with beautiful weather, over 500 pupils and a large number of residents took advantago of tho outing, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The day was spent in sports and swimming. Most nf the business people observed a holiday lor the occasion. Tho Lyttelton Marine Band was in attendance, and played selections throughout the day.
