(DT CABLE— fRKSS ASSOCIATION—COPTBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND S-Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, February 8. Lord Bledisloc, in rebutting criticism that Ihc Empire Marketing Board is helping the Dominions against the Home farmer, has made the statement that tho boord is working on tho principle of Empire buying begins at home. They aro attempting to persuade tho public to support the homo producer wherever possible, and thereafter to purchase the Dominions' produce instead of foreign. The Board already has issued an advertisement headed, "There is no place like home," and others of a similar character will follow. The board's research grants are assisting farmers, fruit grower?, and market gardeners, numbering 40,000, to carry out investigations into the methods of marketing.
