RABBIT BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Banks Biila Jlabbit Board was held recently, Mr H, A. N'utt being in the chair. Other members present wore:—Messrs W. A Gray Wm. Menzies, H. Gardiner, C. J. C Rie'hfickl, and T. E, Feather. The secretary reported that rates amounting to £163 2s 9d ha<l been received in January. The chairman stated he had given instruction? ti. clean the fence at W'ithell'?. and his action was approved. Mr. Johnson repoited on the rabbit fence, and also the repairs made during January. Mr H. Walii ß reported he had killed 50 rabbits in twenty days in Port Levy and the Heads A deputation from the Kaituna Vnlioy, consisting of Messrs N. A Gardiner, R. J. Brcwn, K. H. Parkinson, and C. R. Craythorne, visited the Board, and desired it more strictly to enforce the provisions of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, as they felt the rabbits were on the increase owinjr
