LINCOLN COLLEGE.

BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETS. The Board of Governors of Lincoln College met yceterday, Dr. Clias. Chilton presiding. Others present were the Hon. Mr Buddo and Messrs G. Murray, J. Studholme, R. AV. Lochhead, and J. Deans. It was decided, on the motion of 3lr Studholme: "That this Board confirms the action of its members at the conference on Lincoln College, lie!<l in Christchurch in November last, and is in accord , with tho resolutions passed at that conference." It was decided,to advertise for an assistant to lecture in chemistry. A letter was received from the Board's solicitors stating that Lincoln College did not come within the definition "Crown." as set out in the Stamp Dutier. Act. 1923, and the cheques and receipts given by the College were therefore not liable to stamp duty. It was agreed to print in letter form the report of the director on his recent trip to Europe.
