MILITARY PAGEANT.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Military Pageant Execuvivc was held yesterday. Major Norton Francis presiding. Others present were:— Major Miles, Major Brooker, Liout.-Coloncl K. C. Wiggins, Major Rowe, and R. RobilHard laecretary). Tho question of charges was held over until alter the Wellington pageant. A recommendation was roferred to the Grounds Committee that the question of forming a voluntary staff of gatekeepers be gone into. Tho question of a street collection was dt-alt with, hut nothing definito could be arranged. The City Council had refused the application to have ono in March. It was decided to hold the matter over Major Miles reported that tho Auckland Pageant had been a great success, and arrangements had been made for some of the material used there to ha transported to Christchurch. Tho Programme Committee's report was adopted.
