At the February ruectinj cf the Sydenham School Committee there wcrs present: Messrs T. 11. Butterfield (deputy-chairman) in the chair, F. A. Fnylo, H. J. Iloddinott. J. H. Pratt, 11. Eott, an.) J. G Brown. The headmaster reported that for the month of December the attendance iv»s:— Boyg 518. pir'.s 492; averatjo attendance for the month 9.11. for the quarter 036, for the year 930. had been added to th« ataff: Miss D. McGillicuddy (probationary). Miss C. Hancox (substitute), and Mies A. Joyce (permanent). Messrs Bott and Brown were appointed » Visiting Committee for the ensuins; month. Matters in connexion with the picnic, which is to bo held at Kaiapoi on Wednesdav, February 16tb, were discussed at length. It was decided to make arrangamenU tor the visiting of tho Kaiapoi Woollen Mills. Accounts amounting to £37 Ca <d wcro passed f>r payment.
