HEATHCOTE NEWS. J Water Supply. Once again Heathcote is bavins trouble I uith its water supply. During the past week | several resident" of Horotano Valley- could obtain water only at odd intervals, mainly during the night. Last year a proposal to have a water supply scheme of their own was turned down by the ratepayers; but it seems that the question will have to be reconsidered as the shortage is an annual occurrence and with gardeners depending upon water (or their hothouses and gardens apart from ordinary household use the matter is an important one. Personal. Miss J. Wetherall is speeding a holiday in the North Island. Mr N. 0. Loaey has received advice that he was successful in passing the first section of the 8..\. examination. Messrs.Morgan, Deare. and Rodger*, of the Heathcote Bowling Club, left last week to play in the West Coast toarrca: Sain Needed. A good rain would be very beneficial to the gardens.
