MOTHER RESCUES CHILDREN. (nut »seocatio» tittoam.) BLENHEIM, February 5. A tvo>*torey house at St. Andrews, occupied by Mrs L. H. Bainey and family, wag destroyed by flro last night. Mr Rainey was absent in the country. The fight children were in the house, and Mrs Itainey had some difficulty in collecting thpfh and removing them to safety. Mrs Bainey was in a state of collapse when neighbours arrived. The children rang* from a baby one year old to a boy Of 14. The house was insured for £250 and the contents for £ 800. Practically all the content* were destroyed. Be prepared. See that you have adequate fire protection. Consult the Mercantile and General Insurance Co.,
